How this calculation works
This calculation applies the reference volumetric dosing rule, for water between 20 and 24 °C:
- Large pools (≥ 20 m³): number of 250 g tablets = Volume ÷ 30.
- Small pools and spas (< 20 m³): 1 mini-tablet of 20 g per 2 m³.
How often to add then depends on temperature: the warmer the water, the faster chlorine is consumed and the more often tablets must be renewed.

Where should I place chlorine tablets?
In the skimmers, a floating dispenser or an automatic feeder. Never place them on the bottom or the liner: they would discolour and weaken the surface.
Slow chlorine (tablets) or shock chlorine: what is the difference?
Tablets are a slow chlorine that maintains daily disinfection. Shock chlorine acts fast and strong, occasionally, to rescue cloudy or green water. The two are complementary.
My stabiliser level is high, is that a problem?
Above roughly 70 mg/L of stabiliser, chlorine becomes "locked" and stops working, even at the correct dose. The only lasting fix is to renew part of the water and switch to an unstabilised chlorine.
