Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data Veltone SAS processes as part of the PoolTasker service, for what purposes, on what legal bases, with whom it is shared, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
Veltone SAS, 1126 Rue des Allobroges, 74140 Saint-Cergues, France. For any question about your data: contact@pooltasker.com.
Data we process
- Account: email address, password (stored encrypted/hashed) or your Google sign-in identifier if you use "Sign in with Google", preferred language.
- Pools and analyses: your pools' characteristics and your water-analysis values (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.), history and related recommendations.
- Test-strip photos (AI reading): when you use photo reading, the image is sent to our AI provider to extract the values and is then not retained; only the values, after you confirm them, are saved.
- Subscription and payment: subscription and trial status. Payments are handled by Stripe; Veltone does not collect or store your card details.
- Usage and technical: connection logs, IP address, and data strictly necessary for operation, security and fraud prevention.
Purposes and legal bases
- Provide and manage your account and the service — performance of the contract.
- Manage the subscription, billing and trial — performance of the contract and legal obligation (accounting).
- Read your test strips by AI from the photo you submit — performance of the contract.
- Send maintenance alerts and notifications — performance of the contract; non-essential communications — consent.
- Ensure security and prevent abuse and fraud — legitimate interest.

- Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
- Mailgun (Sinch) — sending of transactional emails and notifications.

Transfers outside the European Union
Data hosting takes place within the European Union. AI strip reading involves transferring the photo to Anthropic in the United States, governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. As noted, the photo is not retained after the values are extracted.

- Account, pool and analysis data: kept while your account is active, then deleted when the account is closed.
- Billing records: kept for 10 years to meet accounting obligations.
- Test-strip photos: not retained after value extraction.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes.

You can delete your account from your account area, or write to contact@pooltasker.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).
