1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of the PoolTasker service, published by Veltone SAS. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.
2. Description of the service
PoolTasker is an online pool-maintenance assistance service: recording water analyses, treatment recommendations, maintenance alerts, history and AI test-strip reading. The service is provided "as is" and may evolve.
3. Account
Creating an account requires a valid email address or a Google sign-in. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for keeping your credentials confidential. Any activity carried out from your account is deemed to be carried out by you.
4. Free service
PoolTasker is offered free of charge: every feature is available with no subscription and no payment card. Some features, such as AI test-strip reading, may be subject to reasonable usage limits to prevent abuse. Veltone reserves the right to offer paid features or plans later: you would be informed beforehand, the applicable terms would be communicated to you, and no payment would ever be requested without your express consent.
5. Partner offers and affiliate links
The service may display product offers from partner merchants. Some links are affiliate links: Veltone may earn a commission if you buy after clicking, at no extra cost to you. These offers are identified as such. Our maintenance recommendations depend on the state of your water and on the maintenance calendar, never on a commercial objective. Any purchase is concluded directly with the merchant, who is solely responsible for the sale, the delivery and the after-sales service.
6. Availability of the service
We strive to keep the service available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or in the event of force majeure or a third-party provider failure. The service may evolve; should it be discontinued, we would inform you in advance, wherever possible, so that you can retrieve your data.
7. AI reading and nature of the advice
AI test-strip reading provides an indicative estimate from the photo you submit: you must always check the proposed values before saving them. The analyses, doses and recommendations are provided for information only, based on the values entered and common maintenance rules; they do not constitute personalised professional advice and replace neither a properly performed test nor the products' usage and safety instructions. Handling the products is your sole responsibility.
8. Liability
Veltone shall not be liable for indirect damages, nor for consequences arising from improper use of the service, incorrect values, failure to follow product manufacturers' instructions, or a temporary unavailability. As the service is provided free of charge, and to the extent permitted by law, Veltone may only be held liable in the event of proven fault and for direct, foreseeable damages. Nothing herein excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Intellectual property and data
The service and its content remain the property of Veltone SAS (see the legal notice). Your data remains yours and is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you may use, free of charge, a consumer mediator or the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts are those designated by the applicable rules. These terms may be amended; the applicable version is the one published on this page.
