1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of the PoolTasker service, published by Veltone SAS, and the purchase of its subscription. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.
2. Description of the service
PoolTasker is an online pool-maintenance assistance service: recording water analyses, treatment recommendations, maintenance alerts, history and, depending on the plan, AI test-strip reading. The service is provided "as is" and may evolve.
3. Account
Creating an account requires a valid email address or a Google sign-in. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for keeping your credentials confidential. Any activity carried out from your account is deemed to be carried out by you.
4. Subscription, price and free trial
The Premium subscription is offered at €10 incl. VAT per year and per pool. A 30-day free trial, with no payment card, precedes any paid subscription. After the trial, access to paid features requires an active subscription. Prices include all taxes; any price change would be notified to you and would apply only to subsequent periods.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by our provider Stripe. Veltone does not collect or store your card details. The subscription is billed annually on subscription and then at each renewal date.
6. Automatic renewal and cancellation
The subscription renews automatically for successive one-year periods unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account area (Stripe management portal); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already-paid period, with no pro-rata refund, and stops further renewals.
7. Right of withdrawal
For consumers, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies in principle to distance contracts. For a digital service, if you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal, that right can no longer be exercised once the service has been fully performed. The free trial lets you evaluate the service before any payment.
8. Availability of the service
We strive to keep the service available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or in the event of force majeure or a third-party provider failure.
9. AI reading and nature of the advice
AI test-strip reading provides an indicative estimate from the photo you submit: you must always check the proposed values before saving them. The analyses, doses and recommendations are provided for information only, based on the values entered and common maintenance rules; they do not constitute personalised professional advice and replace neither a properly performed test nor the products' usage and safety instructions. Handling the products is your sole responsibility.
10. Liability
Veltone shall not be liable for indirect damages, nor for consequences arising from improper use of the service, incorrect values, failure to follow product manufacturers' instructions, or a temporary unavailability. To the extent permitted by law, Veltone's liability is limited to the amounts paid for the subscription over the last twelve months. Nothing herein excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Intellectual property and data
The service and its content remain the property of Veltone SAS (see the legal notice). Your data remains yours and is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you may use, free of charge, a consumer mediator or the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts are those designated by the applicable rules. These terms may be amended; the applicable version is the one published on this page.
